Plans to develop Vouliagmeni Coast

Jul, 30 2014, 25 companies showed interest but only six tendered proposals by the July 29 deadline

A competition being held by the Public Properties Company (ETAD) for the development of the stunning Vouliagmeni peninsula drew the attention of over 25 companies that showed interest, but only six had submitted proposals when the deadline for tenders ended yesterday. Amongst those interested in developing the area are Astir Palace Resort, Lampsa Hellenic Hotels, the Hotel Grande Bretagne and King George. Vouliagmeni Coast, that covers an area of 76 acres in what is known as the “Athenian Riviera”, includes one of the first organized beaches of the region of Attica and has already fuelled the imagination of many distinguished Greek architects over the last few decades.
